Periodically I have compiled Sockfish from GitHub
Without changing the source.
Has long since version VE_08,
I think there is a marked improvement.
enjoy:
At last a change of the fatal shelter.
Imagine that both the shelters for WHITE and BLACK are wotrh the same points for older SF's versions.

Marek, can you explain a little more, what you mean?
... and what about the position 6k1/5ppp/8/8/5PPP/6K1/8/8 w - - ?

I will try.
At first, it is not a positon but two examples of sheltrers.

Both shelters (value) for Stockfish are equal. It means that the safety of both the kings thanks to pawns is same.

OK, get it!
...and for this Stockfish.VE_09 (as well as your Sting SFs, I presume), the value of these two shelters is not the same!

For Stockfish.VE_09 I hope.
For Sting SF 3 (next future version) yes, it will be changed.

Ok. I'm confused there.
Sting Beta
Sting SF
Sting SF 2
Sting SF PV (Phinal Version)
Sting SF 3
So you have a final version, and then continue...?

I am not happy with the PV (phinal ) version. I gave up my very interesting idea of version 1 (pv qsearch after captures saved as ss->eval) there. Now, I try to join both the versions and I see that it has some huge possibilities.
