Junkbase update

Post by Dann Corbit »

The whole thing in Scid format (requires newer iterations of SCID since the old versions died at much smaller base sizes):
http://cap.connx.com/scid/jbase.sg4.bz2
http://cap.connx.com/scid/jbase.si4.bz2
http://cap.connx.com/scid/jbase.sn4.bz2

And the individual openings can be found at:
http://cap.connx.com/a-openings/
http://cap.connx.com/b-openings/
http://cap.connx.com/c-openings/
http://cap.connx.com/d-openings/
http://cap.connx.com/e-openings/

Caution:
This is a collection from public sources and as such it's probably not worth the powder to blow it up with. But if you are a poor starving college student and can't even cough up $75 for a real chess database, then by all means give it a whirl. It contains everything, from the sublime to the ridiculous.

There ~is~ a lot of junk there, hey

These games have unmatched braces ( "{" or "}")in the game header somewhere - generally the white or black player names.

181999
419266
1031503
1031518
1614139
7241145
9204785
9286977
9426582

They should probably be removed as it can cause problems with Scid's tcl layer.
(Hopefully i havent sorted my base since downloading, and game numbers are correct).
