Another drawn semi slav with 6. b3?

I've never quite understood this idea of playing very similar openings in the WcC. You would think in ones prep's that you would try something different earlier. I guess that is why they are playing in the championships and I'm the guy on the rail.

It is a matter of honour - they want to prove to the other guy that their pet opening is good whatever the result of the games. This is the mistake that GK made against VK's Berlin defence in 2000 - he never won a game against it.

When you are a sponsor and you give 2.5 Millions $, I think you can, you must set the rules. And a variety of opening can be one of them. Or, you can say for example that you will give money only for 1-0 or 0-1, or no money for draw with less than 40 or 50 moves, I think they must find ideas for great games.
