Wow, the list grows longer... However, still missing many "heavy engines"!
To subscribe a "declaration of honor" as that of Ed, not enough talk, it takes the balls.

Only 15 programmers have signed the "declaration of honor". The rest ... Silence.Carotino wrote:Wow, the list grows longer... However, still missing many "heavy engines"!

The declaration seems simple, honest, and clear... But lets not mince words, or generic formulas, with which "circumvent" the essential things.
When you must sign something, on your honor, what you wrote is engraved in letters of fire. You can no longer hide behind anything: what is written is written.
Perhaps that is why for many it is an embarrassing thing and they prefer to remain silent.
But yeah, okay, let this argument go out little by little ...

Or perhaps those other developers don't see the need to sign something in public in order to look good in your eyes.Carotino wrote:Only 15 programmers have signed the "declaration of honor". Perhaps it is to be expected that people will use this "code" as an opportunity to demonize developers who don't go along with the herd...

Honestly, I do not understand nothing left. This "world of engines" is really a strange and convoluted ambient... The clear and simple things, seem to belong to another planet.

Re: What about...... a programmers code?
I agree. For example, simple things such as "innocent until proven guilty", "not jumping to conclusions", "letting people mind their own business" etc.Carotino wrote:Honestly, I do not understand nothing left. Many common sense things gradually went out the window as the clone-wars started and escalated.

The list of honor ( http://www.top-5000.nl/test.htm ) is still poor, but perhaps there is still someone with the balls, in this strange world of empty words.
