Ben,

The "HoudiniConfig" tuning should no longer work with Houdini 3.
In due course (could take a couple of months) I intend to release a special "Tuning" version of Houdini 3 with an officially supported configuration tool for modifying internal evaluation parameters.

Regards,
Robert

Great....

So you can benefit from various tested variations of Houdini 3 as you did with Houdini 2....

IIRC,you were absolutely against this tunning policy and you said tha this option will no longer be available in Houdini 3....

Ja,ja,ja,the bad doctor is again attacking Robert but the truth is that I don't like people who are double faced according to their current benefits....

Unfortunately you are a typical example Mr.Houdini x64 MP........

Thanks Robert for these details.

But why my actual version of Houdiconfig 1.7 will not continue to work correctly with my actual version of Houdini 3.0 ?
You can't change it on my computer ... ;-)

Ben, modifying the hex parameters in the executable should have no effect on the engine output.

But it works like placebo :)

It would be fun NOT to tell anyone that changing the hex string does nothing.
And then watching reports about successful "settings" with ridiculous elo gains all over the fora...

Now you have spoiled the fun ;)

Some will still do it with great results. :-)
