Do you remember ?

El Chinito 3.25 !

Firstly was a private engine. It won Massy Tournament in 2002.
Then was a free release.
Then a scandal to be a clone of Crafty 19.5, but......

"It is difficult to quantify for me, but it seems that most of ElChinitos
strength was not based on Crafty but on Eugenio's own search and most parts of it's evaluation
." (Maestro Gerd Isenberg)

Biblio:

All in all a very interesting chess engine !

MateScore=32767 (in the Wb2Uci.eng file).

Bumped, after an agreement to remove the link was reached. We know Ruxy posted this in good faith, but there were valid complaints about the link of a private engine.

Thanks for the link. Yes i used it a lot. Crafty i have problems with most versions running in Arena. Crafty one of my all time favorites. Anyway for awhile now i use El Chinito in its place. It is a very good engine. Still have El Chinito from a few years back.

Best,
Gerold.

P.S. I have been testing the top ten clone engines for about 5 years now starting with Rybka. Gee i will be going to jail for 50 years.

Together with the old Ruxy !!!!!

Maybe also a lot of chess engines authors will be our "compagnons". What about a big part of commercial chess engines to be full of Crafty code ? Or maybe Freyr - the chess engine of Iasi - was abused ? Who knows !
Frau Ruxy just wait for a short/long  intermezzo !

Waiting for ! Cola & beer will be via Ruxy, for free !

Have a superb day !
