ChessGUI - playing live.

Post by Krzysztof Grzelak »

I have a request and a question for all what they know stuff. I would like to play live online matches and tournaments chess engines using ChessGui. Can you ask someone knows how to properly configure ChessGui and write what I need to play matches and tournaments of chess programs. For any advice - thank you in advance.

Hi. I hope this help. This is Jim Ablett's tournament I think. Or he is attending it. This is all I know about the subject. I have never seen "live" chess engine tourn broadcasts, but it does not seem impossible. The program has a "server" and seems to communicate with it with Winboard http://www.open-aurec.com/wbforum/viewt ... 19&t=51528.

So you can get this program and run it and chat with the boys there. Best Regards.

ChessGUI can't do it on its own, but it can in conjunction with other software.

Remember TCEC was once driven by ChessGUI .

Graham also uses ChessGUI in conjunction with Tom's Live Chess Viewer.

Please write as you know how to properly configure ChessGUI. I downloaded the program Tom's Live Chess Viewer. When you first start the program Tom's Live Chess Viewer, When you first start the program Tom's Live Chess Viewer, there is a chessboard with figures. I wonder whether this be so.

I think you need to download Tom's Live Chess Server and install first?

The pieces and position won't show on the board until there is a broadcast running.
What you've shown is normal.

Thank you for the information Graham. Just what's next Graham. You can share the Print screen you have a set program ChessGUI.

I'm probably not the person to ask, as I required help from some of the ChessGUI regulars plus my IT specialist son to get broadcasts set up and running.

Dan Cooper managed to figure it out on his own, so he'd be a better person to ask.
