Nobody has commented yet so I just would like to thank the outgoing moderators for faithfully executing a surely sometimes difficult job without pay, thank Sam Hull for organizing the elections like clockwork and congratulating him as new moderator in CTF, thank all who voted. I hope the new team will get on well with each other and not be flooded with intervention requests from all sides. Frankly most clone issues are not worth losing your appetite, sleep, mental health or a hobby for. As we are all in the same ship, let's not sink her :) Thanks Dann, Robert and Steve!

Yes and 40 trolls/false accounts.

You got what you deserved.
"You got what you deserved" ?

Each single one of the 3 CCC mods had more votes than total of CTF voters. So "You got what you deserved" should not come from CTF.

Matthias.
For a programmer, you are not very good at maths. We know the CTF vote is reasonable. We know that the CCC vote is completely corrupt.

There are fools, damn fools....and jockeys that remount in a steeplechase.

We can count. We know history. We know what happened here and it was not democracy.
I agree that many of the elections on both CCC and CTF in recent years have been dubious to say the least. I think it may be time to switch from a secret ballot to open elections, with the names of all who voted and the names of their chosen candidates recorded publicly. I suspect that would prove very illuminating...

What has happened this time is that the CTF vote is more realistic than the artificially inflated figures in recent elections. Sam Hull was top of the poll in the present CTF election - his rightful place IMO. I was amazed that last time he was not even elected. The obvious conlusion is that that not all the improbably large number of votes last time were kosher.

To all our chess friends.
Our friend Sentinel has been banned from CC forum.Another of our friends Franklin T has also suffered the same fate. This was all done by unilateral decision of the moderators disregarding all the rules.
CC forum is sponsored by ICD corporation who obviously is not well aware what is going on over there.
This could be possible coup because they are seeing that they are going to loose the election
I have already called this place where I have spent thousands of dollars over the years buying chess programs and told them what is going on there that has nothing to do with chess but personal interests.
Also I have told them that there are other places where one can get chess programs so if they are willing to loose the business they can continue to let people hijack the site they are sponsoring.
Nothing hurts like loosing business.
I would like to see people calling or writing to this place and asking them to stop the nonsense over there where few people have taken over the forum and pushing private interests that have nothing to do with chess development.
All of you probably remember how our engines were and still being treated on that forum.
Good writing or calling campaign can maybe change the policy there. If not the CC forum is dead for all of us.
Thank you for your help

What's the problem Peter ? What exactly do you mean by "outed" ? Both you and Chris C are/were members here . Show me one post connecting Sentinel and slankamen to "piracy" . Can't you get it ? They all joined in the wake of IPPOLIT moment . They needed a place to discuss and contribute . People like you sent them here . For them it's everything to do with IPPOLIT and nothing to do with "goodies" found here . The GOTV post was in support of candidates favoring "evidence before condemnation" approach to RobboLito and was made exclusively by the RobboLito supporters .
PS - judging from your wild guesses it's obvious that you are no Sherlock .
PPS - Thanks for the linky love although I don't think it will survive for long .

So, the urgent attention was to get everyone to vote for.. you guessed it, Mattias and Swami, and their views favored the piracy movement on that forum. Oddly enough, they got what they wanted. The membership should feel proud.

is it just me, or does his 1st post now appear terribly insincere/two-faced?

Mattias and Swami favor piracy???????????????
no way, not true!
it's a ridiulous and vindictive accusation!

note: just because you're a member here does not mean you're in favor of (or associated with) software piracy!
personally i joined for several reasons (none related to piracy):

- the atmosphere is very friendly
- users are knowlegeable and extremely helpful
- members here really know their stuff, unlike other forums
- it's far cry from the beligerent/critical/and arrogant atmosphere at CCC
- to participate in the October Revolution, and aid in the development of RobboLito
Again, I have highlighted the important parts...

I never said that Mattias or Swami were supports of piracy, but rather Swami and Mattius' views on Ippolit were to the piracy forums favor. Being I wanted to stop Ippolit postings here, where on the immortal223 site, it is more welcomed.

Peter Skinner is very wrong.
I am not Slobo but he is a good friend of mine. Just like so many other people on this forum.
How many good friends does he have.
If he had enough of brain he would see that my posts are coming from Uruguay and that Slobo lives in Brazil. Two different counties but for some of them probably including Skinner there is only one country -South America not the continent.
It is also interesting that those people who are so much against what they call piracy come to visit this forum. Not sure if they also use this forum to get their engines to.Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites that are always first in line to scream clones.
Well, there goes Peter the new Sherlock Holmes.Bad try Peter.
Maybe more luck next time.

So one second he is from Urguay, and the next the United States? Also, of course I go to the site. How would my data miner collect all the links from the page source, so I can get them shut down? Just a note, hideuser links don't work if I am a member, and I need to be a member to see which pages have links to add to the data miner. Also, many authors know for a fact that I _ask_ them for a copy of their programs, and they give them to me with a license. Hiarcs and Rybka are two of them. Others give me development engines, as they know I won't give them to anyone else.

So I don't need a place like the immortal forums to get my chess programs.

Enough for tonight. I am tired and would explain any typing mistakes. Over the course of this post, I believe that credibility is quite a bit higher than theirs.
I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Peter,

You clearly need to get some sleep. I don't know who the heck Slankamen, Sentinel etc are.... but one thing is for sure.
I have never seen any of such users here, and if I did, I never saw them post a link to a well known piracy site, like you are doing right now.
Moderators please delete this link.

:D Uncle Steve,

Another best seller can be

 " Life as an Undercover Commercial Engine secret Agent "

"The secret memoirs of a commercial engine secret agent. Thrill to the excitement of how he infiltrated CCC/CTF. How he set up his secret network of sub-agents using the CCC-Tournaments & Matches. How they fought the dreaded "FireHoe iPPolitburo" . their deadly encounters with the bulletproof Robbos. His fantastic battles with the infamous pirate Captain Hook in Neverland. His final match vs Kra - el -nium.

His heart rending decision to tell all and break free from his masters. his disillusionment with his commercial engine masters after they forgot to mail him his free chess engines/gui. "
