pgn to Fritz
Is there a quick way to copy/paste a game-score pgn to view it in Fritz 9? Or will I need to use a pgn viewer like icc's?
Re: pgn to Fritz
Fritz can open the pgn. Just go to File open and then choose all files or pgn extension.
Re: pgn to Fritz
Thanks for quick reply but I don't think I worded my question correctly as I still can't figure this out.
What I meant is, if I simply highlight and copy a game-score text (from the text format as often seen in the threads - see below).
Is there a quick an easy method to get it displayed in Fritz 9 as is? Otherwise, what would be the the quickest method? Will I have to have to copy the game text to a folder first, if so how do I save the text as .pgn format so Fritz can access it?

You are wrong or you didn't understand his question.nuff wrote:Fritz can open the pgn. Just go to File open and then choose all files or pgn extension.
There is no need to go to any file(and he has none yet, only
a pgn in his clipboard)... he simply can go to
=> Edit => Paste and copy the game from the clipboard.
No other steps are required.

Re: pgn to Fritz
Fritz 10 has menu > Edit > Paste Game or Position. His question was unclear because he mentioned ICC/pgn viewer. If he wanted to save the game in pgn format he could open notepad paste and then file save as all files "example.pgn".
GUIs like Arena, Fritz and Winboard all have the ability to paste pgns or fens although this feature is broken in the new Arena beta.
