Thanks Jim. :D

From the readme file:

The program tries to detect the number of CPUs on your computer and set the number of search threads accordingly, but please be aware that the detection is not always correct. It is therefore recommended to inspect the value of the "Threads" UCI parameter, and to make sure it equals the number of CPU cores on your computer.

Jim - would it be possible to do a compile for 1CPU or will it obey the number of threads set?

Regards, Graham.

Excellent!

I will wait for a 64-bit build though. :)

Why? Glaurung hardly gains any speed from 64bit.

Hmmm - I can't get this compile working on my Athlons. :(

When I try to create a new uci engine, Fritz 10 crashes.

I could not get it to load on my Penitum M 1.7, it loaded fine on my P4 3.0 with HT, and Core systems.

PS: It may be a Fritz 10 issue that I am having because it works in Chessbase 9 on the Penitum M 1.7 with no problems. However will not load in Fritz 10 on that system. It does load in Fritz 10 on the other systems. Fritz 10 GUI version May 20, 2007.

Can you open the engine in console mode? If so does it crash? Are you using the version for all processors? I dont think the one for intel Core2duo, quad or xeon would work on any other processors.

I get an error everytime I try to unzip the file. "Unable to create directory"...

Anyone else encountered this problem?
