The PGN people have a new modern site at
http://www.saremba.de/chessgml/standards/pgn/pgn-complete.htm
These specs also include specs on EPD and FEN.
However it seems to be the same 1994 specifications. There was a draft of changes made around 2001 which I do not believe was officially approved. But Chessbase has implemented those comment-commands that start "[%", which were part of the draft.
Speaking of Chessbase, I have noticed many times over the years, that Chessbase does not implement SAN disambiguation properly. They will put in a disambiguation letter/number into a legal ambiguous move, even if the other ambiguous move is illegal. |
