And the words are translated correctly in the language file in your languages subdirectory they just don't display right ?

The solution will be unicode however as Martin said this might take a while as it is not very high on the todo list. Sorry.

I remember there was such a posting in the you know what forum, can't see it as I don't have a password there. Maybe someone knows. We would like to know whether there is a solution. Thanks

Talked to Martin. For Unicode he needs a new compiler which would cost 1000 Euros. Martin will wait for the free version that suports Unicode, also a lot of testing needs to be done so not now. I know this would solve the problems with Japenese/Chinese too.

Yes... I noticed the language issues as well. However I find to be so minor tht I personally do not view it as an issue in regard to Arena. I think if I recall correctly chessbase has same issue to perhaps a lesser degree.

Any word yet as to the what the update actually does?

Hi,

Appearance:
Mix-Tab-Width now saved
Frame around movelist thinner
In Maim Menu now 8 Engines configurable
HTML-Editor setable in Options -> Appearrance -> Other settings

Analysis:
Analyse starts "on the fly", if Analysis-Configuration changed.

Demo:
Multi-Demo while right-click on demo button now works

Tournament:
CPU-usage lowered
Abort Tounrnament confirmation dialogue: now in tournament window
gauntlet tournament:auto-rotate board option
reght mouse on scrollbar -> Scroll here etc popup menu doesn't appear
Early Draw: settable
HTML-Editor invokable from tournament dialog -> save

ICS:
Setting ICS port after server now works, e.g.: server.org:9000
Ir with engine: "set 1 This is a computer account" now correctly sent
After ending ICS mode no empty engine areas shown

Engine debug window:
Options/ Logging new design
Logging: Configuration simpler
Logging: Writing to file arena.debug also possible after several lines instead of always after one
Logging: Real date/time can be logged also

Configuration:
PVListbox no longer saved in arenagui.cfg

Thanks that was helpful. Now if Chessbase were to actually state what their update does......

Creates a few more bugs. Theoretically they fixed a few also.

I keep getting "Fritz SP not installed" message when I try to update my fritz 12 .....Any idea as to why?
