STRELKA MP

Post by FriedmannC »

Ok, so we've seen Strelka 5.5 coming out in 32 bit, in May we expect the 64 bit version. But the question still remains: When will we see STRELKA MP?

When Strelka's author will have find the source code in Don's computer. Unfortunately Don as a buggy SMP version for Komodo, so that Strelka 6.0 will be buggy too

Just kidding :D

Biblio (from Sallustio- De Catilinae coniuratione):

 1.Strelka 5.5 by Herr Comrade Yuri Osipov :
Win32; older versions were Win32/64, Linux32/64; a Houdini/Critter/Rybka/Stockfish derivative; older versions were Rybka clones; older versions with C source from SDChess

 2.Belka 1.8.20 by Comrades Igor Korshunov & Yuri Osipov :
Strelka/Rybka clone ------clone of a clone (a rare thing) !

Strelka was a plublic-source program that Vasik Rajlich claimed was an exact duplicate of Rybka at those days.
There are those who say that it opened the Pandora's box, as someone noticed how similar Fruit program and Strelka were.
Without Strelka and the destructive help of Rajlich, this might never have been uncovered.
Thank you Comrad Jury Osipov.

It wasn't targeted at you Sylwy, in fact at noone. When I read Catilina I simply remembered that sentence and couldn't resist to post it :D
Sorry for that, it was just random trolling.

I’m sure that the self-proclaimed Rybka gurus out there are going to cry but, who cares.

Please Alain, from now on refrain from trying to launch any new flame war in the general topics forum (or in any forum for that matter!). This is a tendency you have, and it is quite unpleasant. Especially to the serious people involved in the ICGA/Rybka discussion, who are making great efforts to keep those discussions civilized, and located into the Engine Origin forums.
