Arena PV comments

Is there any way to turn the PV comments saved by Arena (and Winboard?) during engine matches into actual variations in the PGN file?

WinBoard does not save PVs in the PGN during matches. It only does that in Analyze Game mode.

I think Arena does have a setting where it does save PVs as PGN variations, without the extra {braces} around them. At least, long time ago I requested such, and IIRC they actually honored that request.

Thanks, H.G.. I'm not seeing that option in Arena 3.5, but that doesn't mean it's not hiding away somewhere.

ChessGUI supports adding PVs to results PGNs and has various options for it.
