What's up with the new accounts?

Post by Ozymandias »

Sorting the member list by date, I see that the 50 newest members haven't been able to make a single post for more than 3 months now.

I've been approached by people, wanting to have their account activated, but so far no solution has been found.

The admin can do whatever he wants.

I haven't been able to post in this forum in the last 10 days because my account was automatically deactivated after I tried to change my obsolete email address. I think this is a phpBB 'feature'.

So I got locked out. Reseting the password did not work.
Sending mail to tcadmin got no response.
Trying to get a new account activated also got no response.
Sam Hull hasn't posted in about a year. Maybe he forgot to check the inbox for a while. I heard there are about 50 'tickets' in the backlog.

In short: no rabbits, but when getting response from an admin is this troublesome then I predict in the end only a few posters will be left ;)
Luckily Harvey was able to get my existing account activated again, even though this is not his regular business.

Are we then without an admin to perform admin duties? How long has this been going on? Can someone take up the mantle?

I agree Ron this is a serious problem. Hopefully the admin are reading this mail
and correct the situation.

Matthew Hull is Sam's brother, and posts in CTF daily. If anything had happened to Sam (= tcadmin) I am sure Matt would have told us.

If they're of the good-relationship kind of brothers, getting a message to Sam (trough Matthew) about more than 3 months worth of activations, and more than 50 registered users in limbo, might not be a bad idea.
