Hyperthreading seems to make engines get more NPS on Epyc and Threadripper but not so much on Intel
I have both i7 and AMD Ryzen and it is my considered opinion after a lot of Testing and Gaming, that HT On does NOT help either Intel or AMD.
The results may not be any worse, but they are certainly not any better.

Thank you Anil, for confirming something I suspected a long time ago. I have always believed that "Hyperthreading" for chess is more about Hype rather than threading (those virtual threads don't really help chess programs much, I guess you could call it "virtual elo" )

I read from TCEC chat, that ML confirmed Komodo 1970 has NUMA bug causing slow speed. True or not? But TCEC rules say:
"In the case of a serious, play-limiting bug (like crashing or interface communication problems, not including losses on time) not discovered during the pre-Season testing, the engine can be updated once per Stage to fix this/these bug/bugs only."
I saw that too and was wondering the same. I just asked and somebody told me Mark L said no problem, but depends if we were talking about the same message time-frame because he has (also) said that pre numa message.
