I know that in other rating list Toga1.2.1a is clearly better than Glaurung and the baron.

I think that it may be good if people try to replay the same openings with toga1.2.1a and toga1.3x4 and compare the results to see if toga1.3x4 performs better from the same openings against the same opponents.

Hi Ernst,

EGBBs were not used

Here are all the 1.3x4 results at 40/4

the version with EGBB has the full 5 piece

Being Windows-only seems to be a new feature of Toga's latest version?

Or has someone compiled it for other architectures? I can't compile it in Linux. If anyone has succeeded in compiling a Linux binary, perhaps they could help me?

Thanks, but it is not really very helpful, because nobody at that thread has had success with compiling Toga for Linux.

The problem seems to be with the bitbase stuff. You could try removing probe.cpp or replacing its contents with dummy functions and making sure egbb_is_loaded is always false. I did the former (mingw wouldn't compile it otherwise), but I don't have Linux (yet) so I can't test it.
