hi Rob

i am working my way up the Saitek OSA Module food chain here
i had the Analyst D8 module(1900 Elo)
locked an loaded in the Renaissance board when your position appeared

after 40 minutes ,6 ply and having searched 1.2 million positions it wants to play Rxf6

:( Regards

Hi Robert, I see that this is a test for the dedicated but I don't own any dedicated comps anymore, and so I like to test my variuos PDA programs as I think alot of people find the results interesting so please don't mind me posting these results. The following are all using my iPAQ hx2790 and all programs using default settings with max hash.
Hiarcs 9.6: 1 second maybe less as I blinked when looking at the display.
Fruit 2.1: 6 seconds.
Chess Genius: 10 seconds.
PocketFritz2: 33 seconds.
Toga ll 1.2.1a: 58seconds.
This shows how fast Hiarcs is when it smells a King mate. The results are quite interesting as there can be other occasions when the order of results are tottally different.

I have this position in at least one chess book, it's rather unique.
