Collector's Corner..Paris 07 Parings up

Post by Steve B »

The Paris 07 tournament scheduled to be played on May 27th 2007 now has the pairings listed...

the tournament in only its second year is already a much heralded event with French TV and Radio coverage at a frenzied pitch

the playing site will be in the beautiful Saints section of Paris where fine wine is as common as drinking water

a fine selection of strong computers will be competing with a superb representation of the legendary dedicated chess computer programmers

my predictions for the event in order of placing....

1.Saitek Renaissance Sparc(a win on tie breaks over..)
2.Mephisto Risc 1 MB

3.Mephisto Magellan
4.Mephisto Berlin Pro London
5.Novag Diamond
6.Saitek Risc 2500

Hoping you have at least the winner right regards,

Hi Alain

i appreciate the fact that Paris 07 remains dedicated to the principle that tournaments for dedicated chess computers should consist of NON-Modified chess computers..not a Pc Chess Card to be found in Paris 07!
:P

one of the few oldies tournaments that adheres to this all important rule

i also like the fact that the finest Wine on earth will be flowing freely to all of the tournament participants!!

Hi all,

of course i also want to give my predictions!

1.Mephisto Magellan
2.Mephisto Berlin Pro London
3.Saitek Risc 2500
4.Mephisto Risc 1 MB
5.Saitek Renaissance Sparc
6.Novag Diamond

In my opinion, every of the first four can win! But the Sparc and Diamond are always good for a surprise!

Hi,

I'll put your predictions on the web.

Now about the wine, I am not sure that we will drink wine during the games (ok, may be between  ) but I'll bring a fine bottle for the winner :D

Best regards,

PS : Robert, I think that a Bavarian will be present :)

no, Eric will not play with an overclocked Magellan. He was a bit paniqued when the Berlin Pro entered the tournament but he will come with a normal Magellan.

Alain
