IF you win the match against me you can choose TWO
IF you win the match against Thor's Sparky..then choose THREE
this didn't come out quite right
:P
i didn't mean that you choose three if you win the match against Thor and lose to me
i meant you can choose an additional item for each match you win

anyway i think you get the point

Excellent response :) Got a big chuckle out of that. And, a beautiful board it is!

At what time should we match up? Each game with Steve should be
over by 11am NY Time which (I think) is 5 pm for you. Or do wish to
match up on another weekend? I am open for other dates.

I didn't know that the London allows user modifiable book.
I had hoped to play it at its defaults or what ever values
were used when it obtained a rating other than TC.

I have a completely new book that typically goes out before
more 12. It is a new experiment for me in making books. It is
auto-tuned from matches on ICC.

Hi Charles,
If you have or will write an automated algorithm for creating an opening book from a pgn file,I will create a decent opening book for Telepath....In my opinion,a good opening book should be at least 40 half moves....and then you can rock and roll on ICC :D
Buzz me if you're interested....

P.S.you can download the latest version of Bright and play against it's opening book....if you like the quality of the opening book, then consider my proposal....
_No one can hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward….

Hey, sounds like a nice offer. I am using Chess Partner 5.4 for the
book. It is a nice enough interface that handles UCI, ICC and auto-tune
books. The book mechanism uses pgn. It only costs around $25 and
there is a download for 30 day trial.

To ALL,

The match is on. It will run on Playchess and I will post each move
and fen in a thread in the CCC tournament section. The match starts
at 6 am NY time Satruday Sept 20 2008 (that's tommorow morning).
The TC is G/120 so it may last 4 hours.

while the Genius does allow the owner to make up his own book i did not mean that in my post
i meant i could use different books styles hardwired into the computer
so i can choose Gambit or Tournament or Blitz etc etc
however if you want me to use the recommended book for tournament play that is fine by me
i will use the Tournament book.. normal
this would be the book used for its elo rating

I would like to reply to you Uri style..
There are four hundred engines out there...
Not true, there are more than 500 engines out there..There are at least 5 private engines that are capable of winning a top class chess tournament.

I really don't understand what the point is in keeping the engine private for a long time either other than make some geeks envious.
If 99% of the females decided to not wear any clothes, would you not feel a certain interest/fascination towards that 1% that are still clothed? Your comment about making the geeks envious is irrelevant.

I am not sure if any of you read one of my previous posts. Telepath already got a very decent book...
