Thinker is my favorite engine, but can I ask what's the last stable version? In software a version is beta until no bugs are found, and they let you choose between the last beta version that could have bugs yet to fix (Thinker 5.2M) and a previous stable version that is known to not have bugs (even if it's weaker than the beta.)

Re: Thinker 5.2M available
Can you please explain to me why Thinker is your favorite engine ...
an engine that can only be used for playing vs other engines ... an
engine which shows no output at all ... an engine you can't use for
analyzing purposes
Regards
Kurt

I use the ENG adapter so it shows output under Fritz:

So, using Thinker for analysis is just harder and more time consuming, because it doesn't support infinite analysis and only shows output after it has moved. I have to set up a game against it and then paste and play the game till one move before the position I want to analyze, then switch Thinker ON by playing the move. The time it takes to show output will depend on the time control of the game, and ponder must be off. All of this to get a score because the PV shown is useless.
But the playing style and move choice is worth the hassle, for sure.
