Mr. Burcham,

No it won't. Why would it? That would make a win into a possible draw.

Tim look again

Post by kgburcham »

Maybe I am missing something Tim.
It seems Rybka 3 played 28.Qxf6?
Rybka blundered.
Maybe it was time issue where Rybka played from depth 2. Not sure.

Because it was played by Rybka 4 BETA.

This was not Rybka 4 beta but a version that is using an experimental Rybka cluster setup using several computers. I am still not sure what system Vas is using but it will be very interesting to find out. I am actually quite surprised that he managed to make the thing work on such a short time frame. Vas is always full of surprises

From Rybka Forum:

It consists of 5 8 core computers - 1 master and 4 slaves. So we have atm 40 cores in total.

There is one Skulltrail 3.8 GHz
another Skulltrail 4.2 GHz
one 2x X5460 @ 3.4 GHz
one 2x X5365 3 GHz
one 2x E5430 @ 3 GHz
all computers have 8 GB of memory each
Is this Cluster Rybka?!

Lol, these machines look bored of playing chess

Anyway, save the bugs this cluster Rybka may be doing some novel process on trying to use the 4 slave computers like a Centaur.
