There is a sure method to stop that. I wonder why no one can see it.
This is true . But who wants to stop him. I enjoy some of his/////////////
:)

Best to you,

Gerold.

With all due respect Thorsten, perhaps you should look in the mirror.
Thorsten gets off topic on occasion. As do I an most others. But at _least_ he has a lot of good things to say in the area of computer chess, things that add to the content here rather than detract from it. Please show me _one_ useful post by Rolf...

We do. As there are possibly long-term consequences the internal discussion need some time. One reason is that we live in different time zones. We will let you know to which conclusion we came and which action we took. Until then I suggest not to put more oil in the fire. We all see it is burning.

I would agree. Just remove his ability to post and that would do quite nicely...

The turns these threads take are always amusing.

Step 1. George decides to stick his hand in Rybka hornets nest for some reason.
Step 2. Hornets buzz around.
Step 3. Rolf hits hornets nest with stick over and over.
Step 4. Hornets buzz around.
Step 5. Fernando scolds hornets for buzzing around.
Step 6. Hornets buzz around.
Step 7. Rolf hits hornets nest with stick over and over.
Step 8. Discussion turns to whether or not to ban Rolf.

What will be step 9? Hard to say...I am hoping for maybe a discussion of how many ELO Crafty can gain via cluster optimization before improvement gets hard again (will it get better than Glaurung?) or maybe discussion on how to best use a cluster for playing chess or something. Not that likely though.

And by the way Graham, in an earlier post I heard you say none of us are perfect. I consider that a personal attack.

Is that really necessary? My Rolf filter works fine. Ok, some of his short posts do reach my peripheral vision, but it's not worth my time to read anything he writes. I don't know if he's a troll, mentally unstable, or what, but regardless, there's nothing to be gained by a response.

This thread has gotten extremely OT, and has generated plenty of personal attacks. It is therefore locked.

Please keep in mind that posting OT is against charter point 1, and will be moderated accordingly...
