Chess apps for the phone

Post by terminator »

I downloaded shredder mobile today but the problem is that I have only 3 days left to use it its a demo. Any sensible chess apps for phones that are strong and preferably free?

Chesspartner is a beta and is quite good. What about fritz mobile or what version of fritz were people using in the toilets and then got caught?

Fritz mobile is for playing on playchess, doesn't have a built in engine as far as i am aware.

A few problems with chess partner :-

- there is no way of getting it to start as white.
- there is no flip screen button.

It is obviously a beta at 0.2 but it is a toy compared to shredder mobile.

The toilet cheats were using a version of PocketFritz, either 1 or 2.Your phone has to be Windows Mobile compatable to use this.Of all the phones that Shreder is compatible, SMK has not done it for WM devices.
Strange when his Shreder engine is what is behind PF2.

Well done! I have not beaten it on hard level - i believe it is around elo 2000 at that level. I think there are other free chess apps for phone - search getjar.com - but i dont think they are that strong

If Lokasoft can continue development then, Chess Partner with the features of Shreddermobile would be cool. I was playing the game below where Chess Partner has got a good game and switched the phone off to watch a movie. The game is lost but on Shreddermobile you can go back to a game and continue.
