I wonder what happened with the cooperation between the Junior programmers and ICC. In March 2008, ICC announced that Junior 11 would be commercially available soon after match against GM Illescas, which was in June(*).

If J11 existed as a working version in June already, I could only speculate why it hasn't been released yet (or has it?). It looks like the most recent news about J11 which Google finds, are from the Illescas match.

A lot of commercial chess engines cannot compete with Rybka,Naum & Thinker( a free release ). This is for me the real explanation !
