Do you trust online databases?
If you don´t, do you have your own chess database?
How do you update it?
Which one do you think is the best way to update it?

Re: The trouble of updating chess databases...
A database on a local disk is far faster than any online database. I find it very hard to prepare an opening online.
Updating a database with TWIC games is easy because they are always stored in the same place: http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/zips/twic"$i"g.zip, where "$i" is the number of the issue. So one can use a script or a small program to download new games and merge them into a database. I am using a bash script.

Updating the database with correspondence games is the good thing, It's even better than most GM games.
Though I sometimes collect annotated games and games of 4 cpu engines from the testing groups.
