Thanks to Bob Hyatt and his team.
There is no information about this version in main.c. Are there any changes other than the xboard draw offer bugfix?

No. I forgot to add the change note as 22.10 will be subsumed by 23.0 once I get this parallel search tuning stuff adjusted...zullil wrote:Source code is available at ftp://ftp.cis.uab.edu/pub/hyatt

Re: Crafty-22.10 is available
I am again finding that as with Crafty 22.9, Crafty 22.10 when playing in a tournament/match using Arena gui (1.1 or 2.0.1) with time settings of either 40m/40' repeating or 40m/40';40m/40';rest 40' ,runs out of time after the 1st time control is up. It "thinks" for extended periods and lands up out of time after 42/43 or so moves.
Is this an Arena problem? Crafty 22.8 worked fine.
Any help or comments would be appreciated.

I will diff the time.c code to see what might have changed. I've not personally worked on that, so I am not sure what might be happening.DarioZ wrote:I am again finding that as with Crafty 22.9, Crafty 22.10 when playing in a tournament/match using Arena gui (1.1 or 2.0.1) with time settings of either 40m/40' repeating or 40m/40';40m/40';rest 40' ,runs out of time after the 1st time control is up. However, it seems that you are saying that starting at move 40, it starts to think for something that seems like an unreasonable target time. Can you by any chance send me a log.nnn file? That would help immensely as it would show what is going on with respect to crafty's time usage, what the GUI is telling it and what Crafty thinks it should be doing...
Re: Crafty-22.10 is available
Thanks Robert
Unfortunately I did not save the log files
I will re-run a match and post it as soon as I can......hopefully still tonight.

If you can reproduce it, I can certainly fix it.DarioZ wrote:Thanks Robert

Crafty 22.9 x64 1CPU - and I did not have one game with time problems!!

Has to be a logical explanation. The log.nnn file will provide that most likely...

Hi Bob. Look, should CCRL test this version, or just stick with testing 22.9 until a further version comes out.
Best,
