Crafty as standalone application with own GUI

Post by Norbert Raimund Leisner »

Hello together,

on the Dutch Ridderkerk-website "Newspage" from 13th November 2008
was an URL http://h1.ripway.com/valters/crafty/interface.htm
but the link does not work correctly (address cannot be found - server http:/h1.ripway.com was not reached)

Does anybody know a website ( complete URL!) which contains
a Crafty version with own GUI to download? I made a "Engine GUI List"
for the Computer Chess Wiki by Ron Murawski.
(http://www.playwitharena.com > link CC-Wiki)

New is the "Native Engine List" there, too (well known are ChessBase
products-except Ryba /Deep Ryba-, Genius Classic, Pirat ...)

Perhaps lists for Linux and Macintosh-compatible chess engines
will be added, but this is a plan for the future.

Best wishes,
Norbert

It does come with a TUI, though. Just use d<enter> to display the board, and you can enter moves using SAN.

I remember that GUI, however it is longer available. It was on Valters Baumanis's old website. The last version was 2.0b, I think he dropped the project.

Hi,
I haven't tried it out, but maybe this is what you're looking for?

Hi Norbert,

Those lists are not 'mine'; they belong to everyone. And anyone can edit the pages to make them better.

Your work creating new lists is greatly appreciated! :D

Best regards,
Ron
