Pocket Shredder for Windows Mobile.

Post by Cubeman »

Another new PPC chess engine, this time with it's own GUI.Some special features is that it has 4 men endgame database.I have only tried the demo version and can't decide how strong it is.As the trail version won't display analysis from set positions  At 39 EURO I can't be bothered to find out as I already own PF3 and PGM loaded with variuos very strong engines.

How great is the pleasure to play chess on such small devices where you
need a magnifier (enlarging camera) to see what's going on the chess
board? Once in my life I have tried out such a thing but will never again
do it.

My eyesight is quite good and find it easy to play on.Even the small board option on a normal 3.5 inch PPC screen is still viewable. But for luxury I use the large screen on a 4 inch VGA PPC.But I find I use the PPC chess engines mainly for training purposes with many 1000's of PGN positions of Tactics, endgame, openings etc.
