Post by Ciron »

Same as druing the WCC Match Anand-Kramnik we will again cover this top event semi-live. GM Christopher Lutz will be with us annotating part of the games live and all games for download at our webportal.

For details: http://www.infinitychess.com/tk.php

Anyone interested in the outcome of the 1st IC Freestyle Masters 2009 may please have a look here, where you find all tables (even with the players' real names):

We are sorry, we had to postpone all serious tournaments, as we are still waiting for server updates, which should have already be done weeks before. We still hope for a positive clarification by the top management.

Poor Arno ...

You are supposed to be the "General manager" of this thing, aren't you ?

And you "still hope for a positive clarification by the top management"?

That seems to make for a rather strange kind of "general manager"...

I have been following this infinitychess thing for months.

Even a simple correct PGN file could not be got so far.

Kevin Frayer's (and others) comments regarding the complete failure of your first freestyle championship are terrible.

Do you have any clear idea on when this thing will be able to work ?

Hi Marc,

things will not get better by misleading reports and comments of players like the one you mentioned. I think, other participants corrected his onesided views on the Rybka-site. He is by no means a trustworthy source. Actually, leading freestylers played our tournaments until the very end, not withdrawing, not giving away points by forfeit and not offending me or other players.

Unfortunately, also your statement, "even a simple correct PGN file could not be got so far" cannot pass unchallenged.
Correct is, you can of course convert our database files to *.pgn. That way we were able to offer all our tournament games for download at or webportal. See: http://www.infinitychess.com/games.php
The Freestyle Masters database coming very soon.

I admit, there have been some mistakes in concerting games, but that does not mean all files would be incorrect.

Besides, my resonsibilty is restricted to organize activities on the server, but does not cover the software and the technics.
