the board is made of fairly thick wood and i can't imagine any chemical solvents actually hurting the electronics inside
while the board does work with reed switches i would just insure that nothing is used that can actually burn through wood
i would say that just as long as the work performed is mindful of the delicate electronics inside..a fairly decent restoration could take place
