sorry to bother you, but in recent versions of ChessGUI (including 0.142), if I stop a game using the stop command, ChessGUI will not allow me to access the tournament file (normal chess).
I have to start a new tournament.
Could you please check this out?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Graham,

which stop command do you mean ?
"Pause" ?, "Interrupt" ?, "Stop Engines" ?, shutdown ChessGUI ?

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Stop engines.
Then even if I close down ChessGUI and restart, it won't let me access the tournament-normal chess submenu.

Hi Matthias,

You can enter an option in GUI ChessGUI for auto-start GUI each X games?

When the number of games in a row is greater than 100, I note that in my Pentium 4 2400 MHz ChessGUI consuming half the CPU resources.

Best,

Pedro

That is very strange behaviour for normal time controls (1+1 and slower).
At bullet time controls, GUI can consume much CPU.
At which time control did you notice the problem ?

Best,
Matthias.

This was in bullet time control 40 moves in 15 sec repeating. 100 first games without lost in time, 100 second games 10 lost in time.

Also in AMD64 X2 4600+ with time control 40 moves in 1 min and ponder.

Pedro

OK, then I may later consider omitting too much output in bullet games.
Also background graphics may be skipped.
ChessGUI basically does not support bullet :( .
