Rybka is playing with an ancient hardware, one that Pharaon had given to his son as a birthday present

On the other hand... look at these SSDF results:

http://ssdf.bosjo.net/nr004.htm

As usual, own books and 40/2h. Single Rybka 3 32-bit on an Athlon 1200 MHz scored 20-20 against Zappa Mexico II x64 running on an Q6600 4*2.4 GHz, and scored 20-20 against DS11, and 20-20 against DF11, both on the Q6600 too. R3/A1200 only lost against Quad-Naum 4 x64.

Single R3/A1200 currently has the same rating as Quad-Zappa x64/Q6600, at the SSDF list (from 253 games, and 568 games resp.).

Astonishing, isn't it? - So I tend to think that hardware differences in that range, like one vs. four cores or two vs. eight cores, don't explain much.

They should replay the game with the same opening, but with Zappa on Rybka's comp and with Rybka on Zappa's comp.
