ChestUCI is a Mate engine, and a damn good one.
Yace is still one of the best engines when it comes to endgame analysis (particularly when pawns are involved).

You are correct Ernest! That's why I still use Deep Junior with Rybka when going over games. Not because I trust Deep Junior's evals, but because it will more readily consider moves which other engines will not and sometimes those moves turn out to be really good ones.ernest wrote:You seem to ignore a few things...lonola wrote:How do the likes of Yace or ChestUCI...

Yace is relatively good only in endgames that do not happen often in games.ernest wrote:You seem to ignore a few things...lonola wrote:How do the likes of Yace or ChestUCI...

How do you arrive at this conclusion?Uri Blass wrote:

I believe that in more than 90% of the practical endgames
Yace is useless because Rybka is the same or better than yace.
