Serious Correspondence players could use this engine if they want to attain crazy/risky looking kind of position that doesn't seem balanced.

This is the kind of position where a lot of tactics happen and that's exactly where Bright excels in.

Doesn't it send Kilonodes per second where it should send nodes per second? - Anyway, Allard will know what to do.

@Allard, on this occasion, I'd like to ask if there is a chance for multi-pv in the next version. That's almost the only thing left to desire, still.

Thanks anyway. I got very good results from Bright 0.4a in the PET endgame test:

Code: Select all

PET endgame test(50), CPU D945(~P4 dual)2*3.4 GHz
max. solving time: 10 sec., 5 extra plies(= max.)

Nice PET results indeed, I wasn't aware that it did so well on this one 8-)

Yes, it sends nodes per millisecond, where it ought to be nodes per second. A gui that calculates kilonodes/second from this number therefore errouuneously shows meganodes/second.

I'll put the multi-pv request on the todo list too, but it may take a while...
