Hi Chris,

But all you have shown me was a simple name change ... Now show me the money! :D

There was a thread before in here Ted where I told someone "why would I want to give a clone away?". I think Peter was also in the thread IIRC.

It is around if you search the archives I think.

May or so.......

What is the purpose of this thread?
To show off because you have this clone while we don't? Isn't this a bit childish?
And i ask again: what is the purpose of this thread?

Also you seem very well informed about this engine and its development. Perhaps you are even developing it, i don't know. But since this obviously is a clone of Rybka 3 how can you say all these things? Isn't a bit of illegal?
After his son's birth they've asked him:
"Is it a boy or girl?"
YES! He replied.....

I can discuss it if I want to. Are you jealous?

I am very well informed about the engine. We have been watching them since May.

First we watched them release the code.
Then we watched them make an english translation.
Then we watched Chris Whittington's name appear on the website as a "comrade" (if you believe that he is and did indeed become one)
Then we watched the spanish translation get released.

And now we are here.....today.

I know nothing about what they develop. I do however know what we did with the code to see if if we could make it play. It's quite good let me tell you.

What's to know? The purpose of this thread is to see how long it takes someone to get Ippolit to the state we did by May 25th 2009, so someone better hurry up.

Then we will wait until someone "discovers" an even stronger reverse engineered Rybka that goes under a completely different name that already exists (which it does).

It's quite amusing actually. A bit like a wild goose chase.

It will keep everyone fit we hope.

Vas loves the progress we have made......ask him.

Yes i want this engine because it seems to be very strong so it will probably provide very strong analysis and i'm always interested in better Chess engines.
So that's why i don't understand this childish behavior of just showing off and saying haha i have it while you don't have it.

You are always cryptic. Who is "we"? And you really sound like police. :D
So who are "they"?

Cryptic again. :D Do you say that there is another engine stronger than Ippolite and Rybka 3 which is reverse engineered and that this engine has a known name?

All these doesn't make sense to me....Image

What progress you have made? What are you talking about? And why Vas likes it?Image

I don't think any of my post was cryptic. Just one question to ask then....

Do you want a copy of the Ippolit 0.080a x64 SMP (which is a reverse engineered commercial product) that we made from the Ippolit code that was released in May?

?
