three brand new conspiracy theories

Many doubts appeared in the last few days about what is happening in the computer chess community. So many quastions and mostly one answer. Ill try to provide more options in this sense.

Basically we have three possibilities:

1. "Vladimir Ilitch Lenin" has decided to try another revolution, this time a more modest one, only within the computer chess comunity. He was insatisfied very much with chess engines production and sell (capitalist) system, where only few clever guys ( Vas for example) exploit enthusiasts and innocent workers (Fabian and Bob, for example)

2. "Capitalist" Vas managed to produce a much stronger Rybka version, and decided to take advantage from it as much as possible. How? He releases his old version code and claims to being "stolen" by "Vladimir Ilitch Lenin".

3. Both of them are working together against the final users of their products.

I think there is no other possibilities.

I guess that Vas' code is going to be quite pretty. One of the unintended consequences of reverse engineering is that the compiler has already done its dirty deeds of folding, lifting, branch predicting, etc. and so the result of decompilation will be a bloody mess. Actually, the code is astoundingly readable for something that has come from decompilation.

Remember, you are not looking at the code of Vas. You are looking at:
Vas code -> compiler -> optimized objects -> decompiler -> reformatting as C -> several passes of understanding and tidying up.

I guess that the resemblance to the original is fairly small. Probably the only thing recognizable is the original ideas.

this sentence has something
