No need to come after 2000 games. Misha is only using Rybka's original contempt factor, but it does not reduce SF's accomplishment.

Kind of funny how his Rybka 3 loses to every engine under the sun. Makes one wonder whether he is really using Rybka 3.

Stockfish 1.6 appears to be the 3rd. strongest free engine at
this time.

It rates each positive move higher than most engines.
It is a tad slower than Robb g3 and Tank.

I understand that you consider Robbolito as first free engine but which program is second free engine if not stockfish?

Rybka 2.2n2mpw32 is still stronger than Stockfish 1.6.
Stockfish may show a move value of 2 in ending of game
when it really is a lost or a draw for Stockfish.The value
of the moves that Stockfish in the whole game seems to
be over valved.
Tank is a brother to Robbo. I don't know if any work has
been done on it lately. It did not have the time problem
that early versions that Robbo had..

Stockfish 1.5.1 is already at similiar level to Rybka2.2n2 based on rating lists.

It seems obvious that stockfish1.6 is significantly stronger than stockfish1.5.1 and the results that I see suggest that stockfish1.6 is even stronger than shredder12 or Naum4 that are stronger than Rybka2.2n2.

Just to clarify a few things.
I found new SF version late and had a chance to play only 6 games against gt2.x64 version.SF won 3 to1 with 2 draws so the next morning before going to another place on the Uruguayan coast had only time to play 20 games,
After seing gt3.x64 version demolishing Rybka 3 on 1CPU and than also wining on 4 cores the loss against SF made me think that SF can also beat Rybka and that has happened as the results showed
Marco has given us nice Christmas present so we should all say once again Merry Christmas to all and go and test our favorite engines .
Since we have only small number of games now is the chance to do more testing and see who at the end wins.
