More aggressive playing style

Post by metax »

I tried to implement a more aggressive and active playing style. But the result annoys me a bit:

Hi Luca,
Well,I have to admit here, aggressive style is a major understatement

Apparently, 2. e4 is known as the Omega Gambit, and if black accepts with 2... Nxe4, the opening is known as the Arafat Gambit.

Strangely enough, the Arena mainbook does NOT consider 2... Nxe4 as the main line to 2. e4. The book gives 2... d5, 2... e5 and 2... d6 a higher probablility than 2... Nxe4 (though the book will never play 2. e4).

Well, I think I got it right now, not looking at the low depths reached of course. :)

It thought about 2.c4 for a long time at every iteration but didn't switch moves.
