Unfortunately Thinker had disconnects about every 30 seconds, and had to leave the tournament. The results of Glass are eaten by the ICS; I still have to fix that bug... They can be reconstructed from the results of the others. NewEngine is the as-yet unnamed engine I am working on.

Thanks HG!

Sorry I had to leave early.

Really please with Jabba's result... although the loss to NewEngine was a bit of a mess!! You've made fast progress with it... :D

Have a nice Sunday

I solved the Scorpio channel-49 problem:

Apparently there is a list called 'c49muzzle', and if you are on it, you cannot send tells to channel 49. Mamer can put you on that list. No idea why it would do that, but Scorpio was on it. I now removed it, so it should be OK.

I am still curious what problems exactly Scorpio had with WinBoard, and with which version.

Glad it is resloved. Is 'c49muzzle' some kind of black list ?
I only said the word "shit" when Scorpio was loosing :) And I don't remember if it was in the last CCT tournament or your last monthly tournaments ??

Other problems I had could all be related to this so i will test it in the next torunament. I was using 4.4.2 but updated to 4.4.3 when i had those problems.

-> I can't tell to 49 but i can shout and it seems you get my shouts.
-> I don't see shouts or tells to me immediately. But i get "messages (4)" after I restart winboard.
-> When I invoke a command, i don't get its result immediately. I see the result after i type a second command. It looks like some buffering problems.
-> Games are played with no problem but blindfolded (no chats)

Then i shouted my resignation. It was all crazy day for me which forced me to resign in the middle of the games but apparently you were waiting for me.

I guess it is indeed some blacklist that was not mentioned in the server help files, and where mamer can but you on its own accord. I had to snoop around on the file system of the server, and I found a file scorpio.log somewhere in the users directory, and it contained this message that mamer had added you to this list. Indeed a file with that name existed in the lists directory. Once I new the name of the list, I could remove you with an ICS command given as admin.

The other problems sound really weird. You were using 4.4.2 before, not? It might have nothing to do with WinBoard. It could be in the ICS (like you say, because of being blaclisted in combination with a bug to handle that) or in timeseal. The ICS must know about the list, to block your channel tells; I will try to figure out where in the code this is handled, to see if there is something suspicious there.
