It was a good and illustrative game today. Timing is part of chess.
The time controls are terrible and ruin good chess.
Then Anand should learn how to use time better.

You are being crass...but I've come to expect that from you.

The FIDE have fucked up the time controls and ruined the game which part of that you can't grasp?

good¡, Anand is the more FASTest player that that exits in never times, in all times;

I think that anand can not use the time better that this game, HE was winning in a lot of moments¡, and he use all his time...

Ok, Topalov go escape, but, the time ? a lot of GM die in that game... and Anand have/are 40 years old.

position are very dificult,

rybka, Stockfish and a lot of engine Did not know how to win it in a lot of position previus endgame... anand until it was pointing the way...

bye, from spain,

Um.

2 hours for 40 moves, then 1 hour for 20 moves, then 15 minutes + 30 seconds increment for the rest.

If that's not classical time controls, I don't know what is.

That´s correct, The time is correct, in fact, the +30 increment save tha game.

The game have positions very dificult, A LOT OF dificult, have a lot tactical, options perpetual checks...

Anand play very good, the normal is that white crashed by time, or lost after atack queen+"horse"...

The time for the game is correct, you are correct... anand ot not soo fast, maybe the 40 years old... or maybe he don´t want errors in this game, only 3 games more to end and stars fast games...

2.5 hours / 40 moves + 1 hr /16 moves was the WC standard for a long long time.

At the beginning of the XX century some games were played at 2 hours /30 moves.

Since now games are not interrupted to continue the following day, it is difficult not to have a faster TC.

However, today he was always in time trouble. He was in the last game also, which is why he lost.

Timing is everything. There were times in this game where Topalov was lost but as your (or anyone else's) engine will no doubt tell you, when you analyse the positions?, he made moves that were inaccurate at important times. All the time.

Time control is very important. It is the difference between win, draw, lose or even zugzwang.

We are all human. Some have better clocks. I can't wait for game 10.

Should be fun.

good, true, but Anand has been and is "one of the best watches" up there, if you have reached those extremes is because the position required it, in fact, I thought it was going to lose, late heading It was clear. Anand has played a game quite complicated. It seems not fair to say that "this will teach anand to take care of the clock" when the truth is that "tried" to take the maximum time possible to try to win at all costs.

The fans we can not complain, has fought like a samurai ...

PS: what is certain is that I see Anand fairly slow throughout the match, much more than just a few months ago, I think it tries to avoid "surprises" Topalov is playing pretty fast too.

To see how this ends, but is very close (level similar), more than I expected.

The last time control is terrible. The matches are too short etc. The FIDE is a disgrace.

May the worst player win.
