Best,
I've never heard of such a thing. Apple maintains that it is illegal to run OS X on non-Apple hardware. So unless you wanted to install Windows on a Mac, and then run OS X virtually under Windows, ... :)

It might help if you told us what you want to do. That is, what is the origin of your question?

Best,
Of course, its possible but its not "legal" according to apple because they want to force you to buy apple hardware to run Mac OS.

If you want to do this, there are several sites that tell you how to do this. Google "hackintosh". I do have to point out that it is tricky to get this to work for most hardware configurations. There is a vmware image that can work of the retail mac os dvd with some patches.

I am pointing out the above for the sake of information. I believe if you want a reliable Mac OS, buy apple hardware, and if you cannot afford to buy apple hardware, do not buy it and forsake Mac OS, thus forcing them to lower their hardware price at some point.

Best,
The emulation solution with vmware is not as hard to get working as the native version of Mac OS on PC hardware. The latter really depends on hardware configuration.

Best,
At J.P. Morgan Chase, where I work, they do the opposite :)

We all log in through Macintosh computers, and via a thin client connection, we run Windows as if it is an application on the Mac. We have 2 monitors, one showing our "native Mac" applications, and the other for the Windows environment.
