Re: Stockfish crashes when analyzing this EPD @ long time co
No, though I used 8 threads. I suspect it's not reproducible; can you get it to crash again? If so, the SF team would be happy to hear from you. Well, maybe not happy ...Dann Corbit wrote:[d]rnbqk2r/pp1p1ppp/4pn2/2p5/1bPP4/5N2/PP1BPPPP/RN1QKB1R w KQkq -

Re: Stockfish crashes when analyzing this EPD @ long time co
On an identical machine, using 1 GB hash, it seems to work fine.

It crashed 3 times in a row on the other machine, but I won't be able to test it again tonight.zullil wrote:No, though I used 8 threads. Re: Stockfish crashes when analyzing this EPD @ long time co
Interesting. Very occasionally SF crashes on me, after long search. Never been able to reproduce. Perhaps the crash is more frequent when hash table space is limited. I use 2GB by default.Dann Corbit wrote:It crashed 3 times in a row on the other machine, but I won't be able to test it again tonight.zullil wrote:No, though I used 8 threads. Re: Stockfish crashes when analyzing this EPD @ long time co
False alarm:
Someone else was dialing in from home and terminating the engine so that he could get CPU cycles on the machine.
