Hi there,

1% = around 7 ELO :-)
If 10% more = around 70 ELO!

WOW :-)
I will test it soon in SWCR.

Thanks Richard!

I take it that the source code is private. Is there any way you can produce a Mac OS X binary?

Thanks.

I thought the 60% meant C0.90 scores 6/10 and C0.80 scores 4/10 - on that basis I would make it around 60 elo difference - is my assumption incorrect?

wow, this engine is very strong. although it is early days and can't be seen as in any way conclusive but in an engine match i am currently running it is more than holding its own against rybka 4. so far it is all square after 10 (4'2") games but critter could well be ahead and it is rybka that is fighting hard for the draws so far. great work.

Hi Richard,

Gaviota Table Base support doesn`t works here with the new version!
With the old one (Critter 0.80) Gabiota Table Base support works here without any problems under Chessbase GUI.

hi Christian,

Did you copy the dll into the Critter folder? I forgot that first and could not even see the Tbs path to the GTB in the UCI options ...

Hi,

10% more in a rating list = ~ 70 - 75 ELO.
But the programmer wrote 60% vs. the preview version.

10% more vs. the preview version isn't general 70 ELO points more vs. many others opponents.

Very interesting!
Could be the same Level SF 1.9.1 has.

I will test the engine via Round Robin on weekend.

Tested preview version in SWCR:

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo + - games score oppo. draws
  14 Critter 0.80 x64 2841 16 16 1414 68% 2703 32% + 30 to Version 0.70 x64
  18 Critter 0.80 w32 2815 18 18 1040 67% 2695 37% + 39 to Version 0.70 w32
  19 Critter 0.70 x64 2811 20 20 880 65% 2706 38% + 106 to Version 0.60 x64
  29 Critter 0.70 w32 2776 19 19 920 61% 2702 39% + 89 to Version 0.60 w32
  47 Critter 0.60 x64 2705 20 20 840 50% 2701 38%
  51 Critter 0.60 w32 2687 19 19 920 50% 2688 39% + 74 to Version 0.52b w32
  85 Critter 0.52b w32 2613 18 18 1040 38% 2698 37%
