Mate in 115

Chessmaster 10 mates immediately in 115 moves on my laptop from the position below whereas Rybka 4 fumbles around without finding it.
I wonder why?

Is Chessmaster using 5-piece endgame tablebases?

Louis-I'm not siure. How do I determine this? That situation sounds the most logical.

Don't know anything about Chessmaster, but I can't imagine how else the mate is being found. According to the tablebases, the position is indeed Mate-in-115.

I'm playing around with, but I don't think any of my engines will find this, without using tablebases.

Critter 0.90 using Gaviota 3,4,5 men TBs immediately announces mate in 115, and plays it out against itself in Arena demo mode in about 5 seconds.

That would be quite annoying if you achieved this position in a corr. game and your opponent called 50 move rule.

Louis : I set up this position in Chessmaster 10 but it didn't respond in the same fashion as previously It draws after 47 moves with 3 fold threshhold.
