If you are interested here's the source code (DOS era) of the very first Romanian chess engine -Chess 176/1:

The author is Mr. Andrei Fortuna (also the author of Freyr) - my respected fellow citizen ( Iasi ).

Chess176 JA by Andrei Fortuna
1. Compiled Windows 32 bit executable.
2. Enhanced the winboard protocol support (WB2)
3. Added WB commands 'setboard' , 'analyze' , 'sd'
4. Added rudimentary (depth-based) time control
5. Fixed PV output display (Arena).
6. Created new logo.
Don't use with opening books (no force mode implemented).
