Two years without Shredder
That's exactly the time since version 12 came out. I've read in another post that SMK gave recently a radio interview in Germany. Has anyone here listened to it? Did he say something about what to expect from Shredder 13? And most important, when to expect it?

Hi,
I wrote it with the radio interview.
This was an older interview, I believe in Rybka 2 times, 4-5 years old.
Best

Re: Two years without Shredder
We have seen this before. Programmers, as anybody else, reach a limit of his interest and/or capability to stay in the top. Shredder since long time was not anymore the top one. That is morally destructive.
Also it could happens, like I hope, that Stephan is engaged in a massive effort to recover his position.
Maybe Stephan has derived his talent to a more lucrative are.
Maybe a mix of all that, who knows...

Re: Two years without Shredder
what irritated me was, that he won a championship without selling the product/engine afterwards.

Well, considering that apparently the result of the Botvinnik-Keres encounters in 1948 were not exempt of outside influence, I wonder whether we can strip Mischa of his titles and sort of declare Smyslov as the current champion as all subsequent matches are null.

I think the author of Shredder has for some time decided to concentrate on other things than engine strength in his software. You have to give him credit for having the most robust GUI and the cleanest and most bug free software.

A few words from SMK about his Shredder plans in the near-medium future would be much appreciated ...

Re: Sie müssen zahlen!
Hallo Jungen!
Wollen Sie wirklich eine neue Shredder? Ein guter? Über Houdini?
So, Sie müssen zahlen! Viel Geld!
Lassen Sie mich bitte wissen!
Haben Sie guten Tag Kunden !
Ihrig,
