Magnus Carlsen

Post by jshriver »

Perhaps I'm rusty but just found out about this young gentleman tonight.

I drew Kasparov when he was 13, talk about a prodigy.

So I started digging and came across his wikipedia page.

Didn't realise he is now rated #1 in the world with FIDE.

Just glad to see a new Fischer of sorts :)

Did you also discover already that the USA has had a black president for the last 3 years?

There's a noble young chess player in our town named Magnus. He was chuffed when i told him about sharing a name with the world #1. He has two cute little brothers too, who play that charming brand of chess only 8 year olds can. Shame they don't turn up anymore.

Strangely enough, not every one lives and breathes this little game.

No version 5 just a iphone 4 with some minor tweaks, if iphone was an engine then we could say an elo increase of 20.
I wonder how much the R+D team get paid at Apple to work 15 months to come up with the iphone 4s.

My guess is that the iPhone 5 is ready, actually, but because of its bad relations with Samsung Apple has to find new producers and components sellers. That's why the iPhone 5 is delayed for so long.

It's true. Word has it that Apple had an unfair advantage as they didn't start from scratch but instead took this model:

And refined it with hundreds of thousand of phone-phone calls into this:

The ICPA has already started an investigation with an expert panel comprised of the CEOs of Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, and HTC.

AT&T understands the ethical dilemma this poses to the iPhone buyers over the years, and is offering free exchanges of the newer unethical clone for the original model it was ripped of of.
