Re: Yea Chess 4.77- The King 3.50 1-0 !!!!!

Hi Doc !

A gift for you ! :lol:

Conditions:

-hash = 64 MB (Yea Chess plays at level 10 on 64 MB hash - verified on task manager);
-5"/1 move;
-Fritz11.ctg for The King 3.50 ( a bonus for the poor king);
-ponder = off (Yea Chess doesn't ponder);
-Fritz 11 GUI.

The game was played manually .

A clear and amazing victory of Yea Chess 4.77 !!!
Chessmaster 11 (The King 3.50) has 2764 ELO on CCRL (4/40).
I'm also extremely curious to see how strong is this engine of Mr. Drazen Beljan . Seems a Croatian replica to Serbian Naum ! :lol:

An old Rybka Forum topic.

Hello:

@Ruxy: As you said, this engine is not new at all. I already knew the web, but you were much more faster than me, as usual. Good job! Also thank you for the game.

@Fernando: No shame at all... we all know how are the strong engines nowadays. Try the lowest level and good luck!

@Jorge: Thanks for your 20-game test. Yea Chess is really powerful!

@Dr. Wael Deeb:

Ruxy is right when he says that Yea Chess is more than one year old. I give the link from Rybka Forum where I first discovered Yea Chess:

Rybka is easily beaten by Yea Chess

This topic is from May, 2010 (almost two years!). And I am sure that 3.26 version mentioned on that thread was not the first release.

@Everybody: Yea Chess 3.26 pondered by default and stole some Rybka resources according to that Rybka Forum topic. I downloaded Yea Chess 4.77 (the current version) this afternoon, and with the Task Manager opened in an Intel i5-760 (a quad core), I played some moves of a new game at maximum level (five seconds per move): when Yea Chess had to move, Task Manager was at 100%; but when it was my turn, Task Manager was in usual levels (for example, less than 4%), so maybe this ponder issue has been fixed between 3.26 and 4.77 releases.

Regards from Spain.

Hi Ajedrecista !

Nice to read your post !

Yes , Yea Chess is a chess wonder ! Someone must contact Mr. Drazen Beljan (Zagreb/Croatia) for a Wb/UCI version. It's a shame a such engine not to be present in CCRL, CEGT , IPON........
And I think it's also an original exe.

Best to you !

A gift for you ! :lol:

Conditions:

-hash = 64 MB (Yea Chess plays at level 10 on 64 MB hash - verified on task manager);
-5"/1 move;
-Fritz11.ctg for The King 3.50 ( a bonus for the poor king);
-ponder = off (Yea Chess doesn't ponder);

:lol:

Hi all !

It's here:

http://yea-chess.indir.biz/file/gmfiles ... aChess.zip

A small installer , a bit different GUI , the same strong engine . In 2009 !
I'm very curious to know some more infos about this engine.

Have a nice day !
