Dunno.
Is what I would do after my half a minute analysis. I tend to play too fast and somewhat shallow for the same reason.
Your idea is good and probably winning but it is not as effective as the immediate 17. Rf3!.. Zugzwang, leaving Black hopeless and helpless.

Although I like it better than my messed move order with 17. Qh5?!

In Blitz mistakes abound and I use more intuition than calculation. It often works in Blitz but in longer games calculation wins out.

I tend to be extra blitz even in long games. My preferred rhythm is one hour for 40 moves, but that is just what the computer gets, because in fact I rarely use more than 15 minutes of the 60, which is bad. I can think fast, but at that speed you cannot go beyond, say, 6, 7 ply and the computer go to 20, so necessarily outplay me.
What a heck, I get my fun the same...

We're not so different, we both tend to play quickly and with a machine, well my intuition is not even close to being enough. Deep calculation which I practised when I was young-er is rather difficult today, much harder.

Ha! Thanks, Fern.

Actually, I wanted people to test this position and see how hard 16. Nxg5 actually is for modern hardware and engines. Houdini took over 10 minutes to find the move!

Start You Engines, Please :)

Best Move, Nxg5

Very nice game Terry!

Not so difficult for my Evil little creation. Zappa Mexico , Dissident Aggressor. I am surprised more people do not use it. It is brilliant at find attacking ideas.

Well, we are not of age to go deep in nothing, you know. We already did that, so we must now use the accumulated knowledge. What you call intuition is just that: you more or less consciously knows about what is going on in a position.
The fucking side of this is that positions are anyway so full of bloody tactical tricks that often your knowledge was right but not enough.

Things like "I was superior but that rook coming from nowhere...."

Heya Fern, someone beat me to the punch. If you like my Dissident Aggessor settings let me know. Remember, they were created to play humans, as the style is insane. Although, this should be right up your ally.
